Their eclectic sound translates to a variety of audiences of all ages. The Hailers songs have been featured on radio stations throughout the United Kingdom, Holland, Belgium, Germany Spain and United States. The band has shared the stage with many great performers as well as having great musicians guest with them and who continue to do so. Their new CD was produced by legendary multi-platinum producer David Devore whose credits include REO, Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Elton John, Foreigner and the Grateful Dead. Also working closely on the project were the talents of multi-credited engineers Matty Spindel (Grammy for Supernatural-Santana), Tony Brock (the Babys, Rod Stewart) and Joe Primeau (Burton Cummings, the Brand New Heavies) and Barry Paul ( Savoy Brown).
The Hailers were originally formed when Robert Mills and Todd Jasmin, who had been writing songs together for several years, decided they needed a band to bring their songs to life. Their debut album was released in 1994 under the name “The Loud Hailers.” Upon the start of their next album, the name was changed to simply “The Hailers” and recruiting began to find key members for the new project, “Everyone Hungers for More.” The first member to be recruited was drummer Dave Watkins, who, like Robert, was a Welshman. Dave had previously been in Superclarks with the legendary Tich Gwilym and Burke Shelley from Budgie. Finally added were bass player Glyn Harvard Jade Warrior and Richie Gallioni, Robert’s longtime friend and collaborator on acoustic guitar and vocals. Throughout the recording process additional drum tracks were performed by Steve Williams (Budgie) and Bob Richards (Man). Integral to The Hailers history are the bands Red Sharks, National Anthem and Killing Time. These bands and their influences is what brought The Hailers to the eclectic and unique sound they are today.
